Description:

Carlisle Weatherproofing Technologies (CWT) is a leading supplier of building envelope solutions that effectively drive energy efficiency and sustainability in commercial and residential applications. We are looking for a Buyer located in our Kingman, AZ facility.

Job Summary:

The Buyer is responsible for coordinating with all functional departments to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of raw materials and components required to support efficient plant operations. This role ensures material availability in alignment with production schedules, while maintaining cost control, supplier performance, and data accuracy within the ERP system.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure Purchasing is aligned with short-, medium-, and long-term manufacturing requirements.

  • Monitor and verify raw material orders against the Master Production Schedule (MPS) and customer forecasts, adjusting as necessary to meet demand.

  • Manage supplier relationships to expedite orders, resolve delivery issues, and improve on-time performance.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date purchase order data in the ERP system (JDE) and execute required transactions efficiently.

  • Analyze inventory order patterns, supplier performance, and cost trends to identify improvement opportunities.

  • Coordinate with internal teams to streamline delivery, testing, and release times for purchased materials.

  • Track raw material aging and develop strategies to minimize spoilage or obsolescence risk.

  • Communicate delivery schedules and order status to Plant Managers and Operations Leadership.

  • Perform additional duties and projects as assigned.

  • Other duties as assigned

Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Solid analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on process improvement.

  • Strong communication and relationship management skills.

  • Results-oriented with the ability to influence vendor and internal performance.

  • Skilled in time management, organization, and data accuracy.

Education and Experience:

  • Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain Management, or related field required.

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in manufacturing purchasing, procurement analysis, or related role.

  • Strong knowledge of ERP/MRP systems (JDE preferred) and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities with speed, accuracy, and attention to detail.

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments.

Working Conditions:

  • Work is generally performed in an office environment with occasional visits to manufacturing facilities.

  • Standard business hours with flexibility based on operational needs.

  • Limited travel may be required for vendor or site visits.
